Join us for an evening with award winning bridge architect, Miguel Rosales, who is currently working on the final design of the two new signature pedestrian bridges over the San Gabriel River along Austin Avenue! Miguel will be in conversation with Douglas Moss, partner at Steinberg Hart, an international Architecture, Interiors and Planning firm.

Miguel and Doug will be discussing architectural design and how critical it is for Georgetown to maintain our sense of place, our sense of community, and our sense of history.

About the author: Miguel Rosales, president of Rosales +, is an award-winning bridge designer and architect with more than thirty-five years of expertise. Born in Guatemala, with a Master’s Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he lives in Boston and Palm Beach. He is renowned for his ability to balance technical and aesthetic principles, conceiving cost-effective architectural bridge enhancements and delivering iconic bridges. Through his contributions, he has established himself as a leading figure in his field, influencing both design and engineering practices globally.

About the moderator: Douglas Moss, AIA, LEED AP, is a partner at Steinberg Hart, an international Architecture, Interiors and Planning firm with eight offices. Douglas brings over 35 years of experience planning and designing buildings that are rooted in and reflect the communities they serve.  Doug leads the firm’s office in Austin, Texas. Over the course of his career, he has developed a particular expertise in the planning, design, and delivery of performing arts centers, libraries, civic facilities, and student centers. His focus is on the creation of projects that take inspiration from the culture and context of their communities in order to support his clients’ mission, vision, and values.
