The Butterfly Project: Meet the Artists – Nov 25th
Meet Donna & Ben Looper, the mother and son who worked to make sense of COVID-19 and the lives lost by making 248 origami butterflies……and turn those butterflies into an installation that could serve as a way-station of remembrance and reflection. Each butterfly represents a loved one’s life lost to COVID-19 — the number stopped rising when those in charge stopped counting. This installation will be available for viewing at Lark & Owl through the end of 2022. The public is invited to participate by learning how to make their own butterfly while they are here, which they can then take home or add to our memorial.
