You are welcome to share your own original poems and grievances, or come and share works from your favorite poet.

But what is an ‘Airing of Grievances’ or Festivus, anyways? In the words of Frank Costanza: it begins with the phrase, “I got a lotta problems with you people, and now you’re going to hear about it!” This is your opportunity to lash out at others and the world about how you have been disappointed in the past year. What better way to cleanse yourself of the past year, and prepare mentally for 2023 than griping at all the ills in the world? For more context – see the video below!

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up for a time slot to perform your piece. The Bistro at the bookstore will be open throughout the evening with food and beverage options, including alcoholic beverages.
